RANDOM NOTES:
 - Has her two bottom teeth! They came in within a week of each other, and somehow teething was a  breeze?!
 - Her hair officially never stands up anymore :( I miss the fauxhawk! Now her hair is long enough it lays flat and is in her eyes constantly, haha.
 - Flails her arms and kicks her legs when she gets excited, especially when we go in her room to get her out of her crib.
 - SO CLOSE to crawling!
 - Saw her cousin Elodie again, they haven't seen each other since they were only a month old
 - Gets very excited about food, but isn't a great eater. She gags easily and often just wants to play with food, not actually eat it.
 - So much more giggly and smiley this month!
 - She babbles constantly--a lot of mamas, babas, and other sorts of meaningless and adorable sounds.

First Fourth of July Fireworks show!
Eloise is on the same schedule she was on last month, taking three naps a day, eating two "meals", and sleeping about 11 hours each night. The only thing we have changed is that we no longer give her a bottle at dinner time since she eats more solids now. Instead, she just gets a bigger bottle right before bed. This has been working well! She is still sleeping completely through the night and takes good naps, though she has been waking up during them a little more this month (from the teething, I think).

Speaking of teething... What a breeze!! I hope all Eloise's teeth come in this easily and all my future children take after her. Lou had a few days (maybe a week or so) where she was a little extra sensitive and slightly grumpy when she was awake, and a little more restless during naps. Then, a little tooth popped through! She slept through the whole night, there was no excessive crying or clingy-ness, no drooling or fevers. Nothing! Our baby is basically the best, haha. Within about a week, a second tooth popped through, again with no fussiness. It was wonderful and exciting and her little bottom, middle teeth are too cute (and sharp).

We went camping! Again, I'll just brag about my baby. Eloise did so well. She loved being outdoors. She especially loved watching the fire. She woke up a few times during the night, but didn't cry, just chatted and fussed a little. She did wake up earlier that normal in the morning (around 6:00 am) pretty upset from being hungry. But other than that, she did great! Next time we camp, we need to make sure we have some slightly warmer water for bottles though haha.

Just before Eloise turned eight months old, we took a road trip to Colorado to visit the Krauses. Eloise did really well on the drive, and loved seeing the family! Especially her cousin Elodie, who she hasn't seen since they were both a month old. Lou loved all the extra attention and all the fun water activities (boating and playing in a river) we did. She is such a happy girl!

We can hardly believe that we have had our Lou for eight months already!! It seems surreal. She is such a happy, patient, smiley, and beautiful baby. We sure love her!
